Local authorities can implement policies to ban advertising for harmful products such as polluting cars, airlines, fossil fuel companies, junk food, gambling and payday loans. It’s happening internationally. Councils in Liverpool, Norwich, Bristol and North Somerset in the UK have recently passed motions to implement these measures.
